Complete construction of Bespoke Longcase / Grandfather clocks, undertaken in our Norwich, Norfolk workshop. Always for sale. These are handmade in the traditional style, from superior quality hardwoods, such as Oak, Walnut and Mahogany, using featured figured veneers laid down with animal glue, on to solid hardwood ground.The slide show pictures below, show the construction of a Ber Walnut longcase clock , from the selection of the Engllish Walnut seasoned planks, to the construction of the main structure and the laying down of the figured veneers. Also, some detail of the large arch mouldings, ready to install on the front of the hood.The final pictures showing the start of the French polishing process, which is all undertaken using traditional hand applied methods.
